I’m so excited to share the 20+ holiday candle makeover ideas with you. We used a variety of Mod Podge products to create all the looks. We had a few different themes….. Boho Brights, Traditional, Snowy and Dollar-store designs. All these Christmas and Holiday candles are perfect for gift giving, decorating and even selling.

These are our dollar-store designs. They all started out as plain 7-day candles…. one buck each! ย We used scrapbook paper for the outside. If you need to make a bunch of centerpieces you could use a roll of wrapping paper.
This is our Boho Christmas…. Bold And Bright designs.
Our boho lantern started as a plain lantern. We added some brushed on gold paint, paper to the outside of the glass panels and of course I added some trim and gems.
I just love that snowflake paper! Reminds me of the movie, “Frozen”…..”Let it go…….”
I love the way the tissue paper dots turned out! This type of punched tissue paper comes in a large bad of mixed colors. You can find this type of tissue paper dots in party stores too…. they use it to fill balloons.
For this vase we made Ice Cream Salt crystals with glitter and Mod Podge. You can see a video how to for this technique on youtube: Rock Salt Crystals.
These designs are in some of the more traditional Christmas Colors.
We used Mod Podge Mega Glitter to create a snow scene effect on a glass bottle. The front image is a color copy of a Christmas Card.
Mod Podge and seed beads are so fun to use on candles. You can use a solid mix like we did or use up some “bead soup” and make a colorful design.
I love adding a a small bit of paper to the lid of a jar candle. It’s a great way add some personalization to a jar gift.

I love using family photos for candles….. these funny Santa pics are just too perfect!
This luminary candle holder was made with the girls first Santa picture. As you can see they were both thrilled.
Here is Steve with his big sister and Santa! Soooo cute!
For this candle holder we used Mod Podge to attach peppermint / candy cane themed paper to the back of flat backed glass pebbles.
Merry Kitschy Christmas! I love how our Christmas Unicorn turned out. The Santa one is made with Fabric.
We used Mod Podge Mega Glitter to coat the outside of a salted mason jar. I love the way the little bit of glitter sparkle on the salts.
We wrapped tea lights with Washi Tape and sealed with Gloss Mod Podge.
This cutie Santa with a vintage look candle is made with cotton fabric and Fabric Mod Podge. It’s one of my favs!!
And we made some more traditional red, white and green designs.
To create the snow look, we just added Mod Podge to the candle and then rolled in Kosher Salt.
We rolled the white rocks in Mod Podge gloss and a combination of 3 white glitters. We used different sizes of glitter.
These glass candleholders have been mod Podged with napkins. I love the look and texture.
I adore the gold vase filler, Santa votives and the tea lights!

I really love how these sweet plain votives were transformed with just a little paper and Mod Podge.
We added glitter to battery tea lights by just applying a little Mod Podge to the sides and sprinkling glitter over the Mod Podge.
