The other shop is quite eclectic, so I hope to add more of my mica jewelry(from found mica, not store bought), would LOVE to do more needle felting, and I am craving doing some clay work. I’m gearing up for the holidays and have on my To Make list: braided t shirt bracelets, magazine gift bows, and soy candles in decorated containers.
I have been collecting different sized and styled alphabet letters all summer. I will be woring on altering the letters for an alphabet wall in my scrap/spare bedroom as the wall behind the bed is a rough barnboard and I think it will look fab! I saw a lot of product that would make this endeavor a huge success!

I originally thought to give it a holiday theme since it is going to be a holiday gift but now I am thinking how about 1-18 years for on of my children. Maybe Halloween or Christmas or Back to school pics etc. I don’t know…will have to work it out and get it done. Vickie

I am working on Personalized Tee Shirts for my sons Mixed Martial Arts Match this weekend!
So many crafts, so little time! In addition to my usual sewing and crocheting, I want to use Mod Podge to make some jewelry!
During the show I’ll probably be working on the monstrously long (15 feet!!) Dr. Who scarf. I’ve been working on it off and on since February, and I only have about 5 more feet to knit!
When I want a break from all the garter stitch, then I work on the Christmas stockings that I am making for my friends. Each one of them is getting a unique stocking based on their interests. It’s been so much fun putting them together!

This week I’ve made teabag rests with shells, knitted a fall shawl & am doing pincushions – to top jars of buttons for a sewing kit and decorative ones to display brooches. But, that was just Monday. I do many fiber arts, glue projects & will paint anything that stands still.
I am hoping to decorate my craft studio that I am in the beginning of re-doing with handmade items. I absolutely love the show. I record it. What is amazing about it is that my 13 yr old and 16 yr old, both boys, will stop what they are doing when I turn it on to what it with me. One is a muscian artist at heart and the other is a jock/culinary artist. Got love it when a show gets teenage boys watching. There’s not much on TV these days to watch with your kids that is just good TV. They love to see what everyone is going to create (with tons of interest) and of course, we all put our two cents in on what we might have used instead or would have done. We love to talk about how awesome something on the show turned out. We love it. Thanks for the opportunity to share moments with my boys that is creative inspiration. Thanks for the giveaway!

I am going to make my first quilt. But instead of using fabric for the design, I am going to sandwich a layer of fabric and yarn between layers of water soluble stabilizer. I want to make the yarn be in a pattern, though. I am going to do a reproduction of Van Gogh’s Starry Night. My 14 year old daughter (a duct tape artist) and I are purchasing a super huge canvas to put on our wall. Blank at first, then as we have time we are taking it down and creating different layers, hanging it back on the wall then taking it down again when we have time to create again. We will continue to do this until we have completed it. Meanwhile, it is on the wall in its different stages. We are so excited!

I have already started my next project – taking a wine bottle box, cutting out windows in it, decoupaging some Holtz tissue paper on them, adding in overhead projector plastic so while the holes are there, they are see thru. Then I have to take the lids, add corks and little hooks, and it becomes a necklace holder!

I am in the process of reworking my husband’s childhood bedroom furniture into furniture pieces I can use in my craft/sewing room. Since my husband & I are in the midst of moving from the beach to an inland town, ๐ & our beach neighborhood was about 1/2 vacationers, so we never decorated much for Halloween. This year I’d LOVE to do it up big-time! All kinds of lawn ornaments, porch decorations & even decorating the inside of the house. Many years recently we’ve gone to visit our grandkids for both Halloween & Christmas, so since they are ALSO moving, I’d like to decorate, actually for Halloween & Christmas, & send them photos & videos of what I’ve done!

Okay, Craft Queen says to post my next craft project. Well I am in the midst of my biggest one yet. Adding an attached garage/craft room to my house. We have the floor joist up for the second floor and are catching our winds to begin decking it. Yes we are sawing, pneumatic nailing and measuring ourselves. We will also be finishing the insides of the rooms with drywall cupboards and shelving. As well as floor treatments and wall treatments. Then I have several orphan chairs I have been wanting to put into service so they will need new fabric and stuffing some minor repairs to some of the frames and then on to the work spaces. Once finished I have 3 quilts, one folio and 20 beading projects planned. Besides the picture frames, jewelry collage, two chandeliers and multiple lampshades I plan to create and fill for the wall decor and shelf accents. I could go on but….

We really enjoyed watching both episodes last night! I was sorting through beads on the floor, and dear daughter was encouraging that we enter. We were just a Michaels on for about four hours on Friday (it is about 50 miles away, so we make it worth the trip!). I’m working on some jewelry designs, and girly is working on decorating pens and pencils for the school year.
