Why throw away those old lipsticks when you can recycle them into colorful new lip-gloss? Trust me, your kisses will never be the same! I like to use my favorite lip-balm for this quick beauty idea. You can also mix a little broken eye-shadow into the balm for a metallic look. Pucker up! xoxo
Supplies:
Old makeup compact with a mirror
Rhinestones
Gem-Tac Glue
Scrapbook paper
Decorative punches
Paper glue
Lip balm
1/8 of a stick of colored lipstick
Pallet knife
Mod Podge
Clean out the compact and wash with soap and water. Allow to dry thoroughly.
Using a pallet knife, scrape away a little lipstick. In a small zip lock bag, mix together the lipstick and the lip balm until they are well blended. Start with a small amount of each and keep blending until you have created the desired color.
Fill the “make up” section of the compact with the lip balm mixture and smooth it out with your pallet knife.
On the backside of some scrap booking paper trace the outline of your compact.
Cut it out and Mod Podge it to the top of the compact.
Glue some punches and embellish with rhinestones using Gem-Tac glue.
