Miscellaneous Supplies: Brush Basin or container for water, foam plates or waxed palette, paper towels, white craft glue, scissors or craft knife, hot glue gun and glue sticks.
Instructions:
1. Using a large basecoat brush, apply FolkArt Home Decor Chalk – Spanish Moss to the gallery wrap canvas. Allow to dry.
2. Create horizontal wisps of color over the dry basecoat. Beginning with Fresh Foliage loaded on a basecoat brush, blot the brush on a paper towel to remove most of the paint; then lightly brush horizontally across the basecoated canvas allowing the paint to create wisps of color. Continue using the same dry brush technique using Lime Yellow followed by accents of Wicker White. NOTE: Be sure to allow some of the Spanish Moss base color to show through. Allow to dry.
3. Next add the moss cloth to the “Grow” wood cutout. Simply apply a generous amount of white craft glue over the wood cutout. Then position the sheet of moss cloth over the wood letters and press in place. Allow to dry. When thoroughly dry, use scissors or a craft knife to cut away the excess moss cloth.
4. Once the painted canvas is thoroughly dry, attach the mossy “Grow” wood cutout to the canvas using hot glue.
