These glass plate cookie and dessert stands are so easy to make. This is a classic “dollar-store” craft that you can make in an afternoon. For this design, we used napkins to add the pop of color and print. The middle layer is a glass candleholder that is also from the dollar-store. We are using Mod Podge to pull this look together.

For the napkins, make sure you are only using the top printed ply for decoupaging with Mod Podge.
I did an assembly line of napkin decoupaging the plate stands. In the video we show how we are attaching the napkins to the bottom of the plates with Mod Podge.

As you can see in picture above…. you don’t have to add a plate to the bottom. You can make a single tier stand, a double stand or a triple one.
After the napkin decoupage is dried, I add a coat of white or ivory paint to the backside. This will allow the colors of the napkin to pop.
Look at the bright and bold colors!
These dessert stands are also fun for displaying ornaments, candles, veggies, snacks and of course sweet treats!
