A basic Bloody Mary recipe is pretty straightforward! Here’s a simple one to get you started:
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz (45 ml) vodka
- 3 oz (90 ml) tomato juice
- 1/2 oz (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
- 2 dashes of hot sauce (like Tabasco)
- 2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- Ice
- Celery stalk (for garnish)
- Lemon wedge (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Fill a shaker with ice.
- Add the vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Shake gently (you don’t want to overdo it, since it’s a delicate drink).
- Strain into a glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a celery stalk and a lemon wedge (optional: pickles, olives, or even bacon for some fun garnish).
Enjoy! You can always adjust the hot sauce or Worcestershire sauce to suit your taste if you want it spicier or more savory. How do you like yours?
