Attaching an earwire with a jump ring is a simple process! Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you:

Materials Needed:
Earwire (the part that will go into your ear)
Jump ring (small metal ring with a gap)
Pliers (round-nose and chain-nose or flat-nose pliers)

Steps:
Open the Jump Ring:
Use your pliers to hold the jump ring on either side of the gap.
Twist the jump ring open by pushing one side of the ring toward you and the other side away from you, like a door opening. Don’t pull it apart straight, as that can distort the shape.
Attach the Earwire:
Once the jump ring is open, slide the loop of the earwire onto the jump ring. The loop of the earwire should go through the jump ring’s open gap.

Add Any Charm (Optional):
If you’re adding a charm or any other element, you can thread it onto the jump ring at this stage.

Close the Jump Ring:
Using the pliers, carefully twist the ends of the jump ring back together until the gap is completely closed. Make sure it’s tightly secured to avoid any part falling off.

Final Check:
Make sure the earwire is securely attached to the jump ring and that the ring is properly closed without any gaps.
