This simple technique of creating dyed stripes is so fun and addicting! The best part is that you will only need Elmers washable school glue, blue painters tape and rit dye to create the stripes. Embellish with Folkart fabric paints, freezer paper stencils, rhinestones, ribbons or anything that strikes your fancy.

I can’t believe how nice and clean the stripes came out. Thank you for the tutorial.
Your bag reminds me VERY MUCH of a ballet bag I had over 50 years ago. It was pink and black but more structured.
The really cool thing about it was that it had a separate section at the bottom that opened on the side. This was to hold the (floor- and resin-soiled) toe shoes or ballet slippers separate from the pretty leotard, tights and frilly costume pieces.
Just something for you to think about … in your spare time …
