Roll Call! Calling all students, teachers and parents who are zooming for school. These “Zoom Spoons” are the perfect dollar-store hack for creating a fun, interactive communication tool for students and teachers. We are using a little paint, paper cut-outs, stickers and Mod Podge to create the fun designs! I have used these spoons a few times already with zoom classes and playdates and the kids and teachers both love them.

Delilah loves to use her new zoom spoons!!
We started with wood spoons from the dollar store. The cool thing about spoons is that you can use both sides. So with one spoon you get two different spots for zoom messages.
We primed the spoons with FolkArt Home Decor Chalk. This my go to primer for craft projects.

Next all the spoons were painted with bright colors. I just used up a bunch of 1/2 empty paint bottles for this project. I also painted each side a different color.

In the video we are showing different ways you can paint, add emojis, stickers and fun designs. I like to use small letter stickers that I seal with Mod Podge. It is so much easier than detail painting letters. LOL

Kids, students, school staff and teachers love the zoom spoons! They are so easy to make and they really help with communication while on online or zoom classes.
You can design your spoons anyway you like. You can add names, teacher names, school names….etc. We used a mix of emojis, question marks and of course the thumbs up and thumbs down.
