Paper Quilt Fall Serving Tray
In our house the holidays are a time when we all come together and celebrate. My sister and I take turns hosting Thanksgiving duties. We usually celebrate with a good meal, pie and a little wine. I’m a huge fan of party trays because they are so useful for corralling small treats, cups and napkins. This design is a paper quilt made from different scrapbook papers.
Supplies
Fall themed scrapbook papers, scissors, Foam paintbrush, Mod Podge Hard Coat
Instructions
1. Cut the scrapbook paper into squares. You can cut them into random shapes and sizes or keep them the same.
2. Apply a coat of Mod Podge to the base of the tray, Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge to the back of a paper square. Position the square on the tray and roll over it with the brayer.
3. Continue with all the squares until the base of the tray is covered. Use the flat squeegee to help when applying the papers to the corners. You can overlap the papers or line them straight up. Brayer over the entire design. Allow to dry for 15 minutes and then top with 3 layers of Mod Podge with dry time in between.
PROJECT TIP: This same idea can be made with fabric scraps!
