Hi! Today, we are recycling old bottles and bottle carriers into a fun backyard ring toss game. We are using Outdoor Mod Podge, Colorshift paints, FolkArt Paints and Treasure Gold. This project is in partnership with Plaid Crafts.
VIDEO HOW TO!
My girls had so much fun playing this game!
Begin by washing your bottles and removing any labels that can be removed.
I like to paint the bottles with chalk paint. It works as a primer and is the prefect base for painting.
In the video, I share all my tips and tricks for painting and prepping the bottle carrier.
I love this gorgeous paper! It is handmade paper from India.
The paper choice is so important for this project. I like to first pick my papers and then match my paint colors to the paper.
This ring toss game is fun for the whole family. The girls loved taking turns trying to loop a bottle.
For the bottles, I used a variety of Folkart paint colors. All the bottles were top-coated with outdoor Mod Podge. The outdoor formula will create an exterior coating that will last all summer and beyond. In the video, you will see a tutorial on Color Shift paint, Treasure Gold and glittering.
For the rings, I used some kids bracelets from the dollar bin at Target. You can use any kind of ring for the ring toss game. Check your hardware and craft store for different types and sizes.
Thanks for stopping by! See ya next time with another fun new project. Share and Pin if you love it!
