Today, I’m sharing another thrift shop makeover. This adorable Minnie Mouse jean vest started out as two thrift shop pieces. This is an easy beginner sewing idea. If you like wearing custom DIY clothing this technique works for almost any style or character. I love making over clothes for our trips to Disneyland.

I scored the denim vest and Minnie Mouse top at the same thrift shop. I washed them both in hot water and soap before I started the sewing project.

Sophia wanted to wear the cut off sleeves as arm bands and I think they look so cute. It was na impromptu idea the morning we went to Disneyland. I think now I will hem the tops or maybe add a little ribbed banding cuff.
