Hello and Welcome! Today, I’m sharing our latest 4th of July project. These Mason Jar Solar Lights are so easy to make and they look amazing at night. In the video we explain how we transform dollar store mason jars and yard solar lights into these adorable 4th of July solar lanterns.

Look at the bold color and bright light. We used regular old food coloring to tint Sparkle Mod Podge.
I like these jars from Dollar Tree. The lines in the jar create a wonderful pattern at night.

If you don’t like the sparkle look, you can create a stained gloss look by using Gloss Mod Podge.
TIP: The tinted Mod Podge will dry different from the wet tinted Mod Podge. Some colors will dry darker and other will dry lighter. You have to test your colors first if you are trying to achieve a specific color.

The clear ones are made with Mod Podge Extreme Glitter. We didn’t add any food coloring….the little colors that you see is the glitter in the Mod Podge.
