Painting ceramic pumpkins with acrylic paints is super easy and very kid friendly. In tho video we have a few simple brushstroke and blending techniques so that you get a realistic and pretty pumpkin.
Supplies
FolkArt Acrylic Paints: Pumpkin, Hauser Green, Poppy Orange, Turner Yellow, Mod Podge Satin, Ceramic pumpkin, Paintbrushes
Instructions
Paint the pumpkin with Pumpkin paint, while the paint is still wet blend Turner’s Yellow into the Pumpkin color.
Paint a few dots of Orange Poppy in the grooves of the pumpkins. Working quickly, paint the groove in an up-and-down fashion.
Paint the stem Hauser Green.
Once the pumpkin is fully dry, top-coat with a layer of Mod Podge Satin.
PROJECT TIP: Can’t find a plain pumpkin to paint? Try looking at thrift shops and dollar stores, you can always paint over a not-so-cute or outdated design.
