Some days Mama needs a little space and the hoodie to prove it. Especially after a 10-day Thanksgiving holiday school break. As a mom who is new to the Elementary school business…. I had no idea how long our Thanksgiving break would be. When I was little, we got Thursday and Friday off. We did have lots of fun during our 10-day at home Thanksgiving vacation.
We had an amazing dinner at my sister’s house, we visited Discovery Cube, had a visit from Grandma and we celebrated Sophia tuning 5!
I managed to sneak in a little crafting and 2 videos during the break. For the hoodie, I used the new Cathie and Steve stencils for FolkArt. They are 12×12 stencils and they come in a value pack for under $10 at Walmart.
Our stencil set comes with 81 different designs. Find them in the Walmart craft section.
For this hoodie design I used the alphabet sheet and Saturn design. I used Fabric Creations paints and glitters for the fabric inks.
First, I stenciled the letters to spell, “I need more space” – Don’t you just love the heart for the “O”! I know i do. 🙂
After the black paint dried, I painted the Saturn with Purple Fabric Creations Paint. After the purple dried, I added the purple glitter Fabric Creations.
I love the sparkle effect of the glitter paint.
