Here is the before dresser. Simple and plain is what you want to look for when choosing a piece to give a faux bone inlay look to. This is the Ikea Hemnes.
Brass Buckle – FolkArt Molk Paint was a base color. You could use a navy, gray or black if you want a traditional look. Or go bold with a bright base color.

I love how the flower is in the center of the handle.
