Steve and I, both love hosting outdoor dinners and parties. Living in Southern California means that we can entertain outdoors all year round. Outdoor entertaining doesn’t mean just paper-plates and disposable cups……you can set a grand table too! For the centerpiece, we created luminaries aka candleholders with paper we hand created. We created the paper collage design by using photographs of the roses in my backyard. Luminaries can be used a vases or candleholders. Smaller ones are great for candies on a candy bar or floating candles.
This tablescape was fun to create. Be sure to watch the VIDEO to see all the different things we made.
The flowers featured are the roses from my garden! Last year, I put in a rose garden in and I LOVE it so much! My little garden butterflies love it too! I love the idea of capturing the flowers on camera and then crafting with the photos so we can enjoy the flowers all year round.
For the napkins we created a little burlap and lace napkin ring with ribbon. The ribbon matches our burlap chargers. We tucked a small silk rose into the napkin ring just to add a pop of color.
We also Mod Podged some paper roses to the top of wood cut disks. The disks can be used as placecard holders, name tags or votive candle posters like we used on our table design.
In the video “how to” we show you how to create your own paper looks with photographs of flowers.
We used the same rose paper design to alter / embellish store bought parson twinkle lights. I love how they turned out!
