Do you love to paint rocks? On this Edition of Family Craft Night, we are using Apple Barrel paints to create super fun rocks for kids! You can make creepy monsters or adorable dolls. Get inspired to create your own wondrous painted rocks. To seal the rocks, we used Mod Podge Gloss.
Watch How to Paint Rock Dolls and Rock Monsters!
Each doll is painted different. With different skin tones, outfits and accessories. You can use you imagination or copy one on of our designs.
Painted eyes can be so many different ways. I really like what I call “Kawaii” or cute-eyes. Look close and you can see how we painted two white dots for eyes.
Create flowers, stripes, patterns, dots….. designs are endless.
For the monsters, we added google eyes and painted fangs. They were so simple to make. The painted rocks make great classroom gifts or party favors.
Each one is different and each one has a different personality.
We painted egg cartons to create storage boxes for the dolls and monsters. I was thinking about the Hatchimal containers when we made them.
We painted the outside purple and add pompoms to the top. Of course we add google eyes to the pompoms.
We used plain kids craft glue to attach the eyes.
The egg carton storage holder works perfect for our little Painted Rock Monsters!
For the dolls we painted an egg carton teal and added ribbon fringe and gems to the storage box.
I love how the dolls look in their egg carton storage box. Ready for play!
I love them all so much and my girls do too!
We also created some Painted Rock Doll Furniture with egg cartons. We just cut a chair and table shape from an egg carton.
