Handmade invitations set the mood for a crafty party. The paper snapuit template can be used to create many different styles of snapsuit themed invitations. Make sure you mail the invitations 4-6 weeks before the event. This will allow guests plenty of time to RSVP and purchase or make a gift for the new bundle of joy. The same template can be used to make guest cards that can be signed at the party and later used in a scrapbook for the baby.

The basic steps for making a snapsuit shaped invitation is to print the shower information onto cardstock paper and then use the template as a guide for cutting out a snapsuit shape. You can resize the template to coordinate with your envelope.
Velum papers & fabric brads – print the shower information onto velum paper. Cut the snapsuit shape and attach to a piece of cardstock with a fabric covered brad.
Rhinestones & velum paper – Print a fun saying on velum paper. Cut the velum and a piece of cardstock paper into the snapsuit shape. Glue the two pieces together at the top and glue a large rhinestone over the glue spot.
Sew around the outer edge of the paper snapsuit with a contrasting thread. Use an eyelet to attach two scalloped ovals.
Add smaller layered paper snapsuit to the front of an envelope. Use eyelets, paper punches and embroidery floss to embellish the snapsuit. To add a ribbon tie, glue the ribbon to the center of the envelope prior to attaching the paper snapsuit.

You have saved my life! I am throwing a baby shower and the theme is, of all things, camouflage. I knew I wanted to do this kind of invitation but was frustrated by store selections. Now I can make them easily with this template. Thank you!
