Son of Monsterpalooza – Burbank, CA
Steve and I headed out for Son of Monsterpalooza in Burbank. I had one mission (other than having fun) and that was to get Lisa Loring to sign a picture of my daughters dressed as Mortica and Wednesday Addams. Steve loves all things scary and Halloween so he was like a kid in a candy store.
I didn’t dare bring Delilah and Sophia with me….. Mama needs to time to play. LOL. BTW – Monsterpalooza was pretty family friendly. We saw lots of kids in attendance. Some in costume and all were having a blast.
And we are off…… Last year the girls dressed as Mortica and Wednesday Addams for one of their Halloween costume looks. I had their pic printed 8×10 in hopes that Lisa Loring would sign it for me.

Micro Masks for Barbie Sized Dolls
My favorite thing I saw at the show were these adorable and frightful masks that fit on Barbies! EEK – so cool and so much detail! LOVE THEM so much! I have more pics below featuring more masks from the same designer.
So good and so scary!
They also have Cereal Killer Masks!
This gentleman is the artist from Wild Kard Studios. I loved his watercolors. I was able to pickup two little pins from his booth. He mentioned to me that he likes to paint obscure characters. LOVE IT!
These are the Wednesday Addams pins I bought from his booth. The Nightmare on Elm St. came from a different vendor. I love that one too!!!
SQUEAL! Yes yes – Bring it on Star Wars geek here. Loved getting a snap with Chewbacca!
Cathie Cathie….. look out. Michael Myers is behind you!
This is way to scary for me!!!!
I really loved Abbybelle Folkart! She was always busy so it was hard to get a good photo. That’s a good thing….right!?! She has an etsy shop and website too.
I love her Wolf Man…. Perhaps that is because little Sophia wants a werewolf party for her birthday so I have werewolves on the brain.
The show was busy and had lots of makeup demos going on…. so fun to watch.
I just love this… shirtless, coffee in hand, monster makeup in process.
This was a demo that MUD makeup school was showcasing.
Adorable and giant jumbo life-size Frankenstein… SO AMAZING in real life.
Art display featuring the mask creature design from the movie, “The Shape of Water” – I loved that movie! Need to watch it again…..and soon.
Creepy and Artful dolls….maybe puppets?
Steve and I were both smitten with this booth! They snagged a few bucks from us. Steve got three pieces and I bought two pieces. The Art of Sketch had so many cool designs that it was hard to choose.
These are the two pieces that I got. Now I just need some cool frames for them.
This guy was just too cool for school. I had to get a picture with him!
Crazy cool masks – such talented designers.
This was fun to see in real life! It is “Self Indulgence” by Nouar – She has an etsy shop too.
Steve always finds the MOST scary things!!!
Swoon Swoon….. AMAZING works of art by Inga Lena…. as described on her website…..THE CURIOUS SCULPTURAL WORKS OF A DREAMY IDEALIST! Sign me up because I love them.
Don’t you just want them all!?!
We saw so much fun and spooky stuff. What a blast we had……and ya know what…. it was nice to be kid-free for an afternoon. Soooo…do you wanna know if I got that signature? YES I DID!
Lisa Loring was so sweet and she signed the 8×10 of the girls. She also signed a still photo from, “The Addams Family” show.
Be still my heart…… I love Lurch and this picture is just too cool.
I hope you enjoyed this little tour of Son of Monsterpalooza – 2018. See ya next year!
