Game day is a big day on our house. We usually host about 5 epic football parties during the season. Plus we tailgate at the Charger games. So, I’m pretty good at game day food! LOL. In the video below, I’m sharing our game day spread from our Super Bowl party last year.
Super Bowl Chili and Baked Potato Bar
Homemade chili is always a hit for game day. Sometimes I make 3 different chili dishes. A beef, chicken and vegetarian. Toppings for chili are so important. Think about adding… corn chips, cheese, sour cream, chives and hot sauce.
For this party, I set up a baked potato bar and toppings too. Most of the toppings work for the chili so these two make a great party menu pair. Also – this is great for vegetarian friends and kids love making their own baked potato!
I made kid friendly hot dogs and a selection of small meat bites like, meat balls, sausage bites and little smokies. Of course I added a selection of mustards. This was a big hit with kids and grown-ups.

Chips and homemade queso dip are always favs! I serving chips and pretzel rods but you can dip so many different items….. veggies and cubed bread are delicious too.
We also love Mexican pinwheel chips for parties. Especially with lemon and Tajan. They are also known as pasta para duros, duritos, durros, pasta para durito, chicharrones, churritos, Mexican wagon wheels or pin wheels. They are a popular Mexican snack food made of puffed wheat, often flavored with chili and lemon. You can find them at grocery stores here in Los Angeles.

I busted out the cotton candy machine. Each one takes a little bit of time to make….but the kids don’t mind. LOL
We had a blast watching….. unfortunately this year our team din’t make it….. we still had fun with friends and family. Thanks for stopping by! Ask me any questions in the comments. XOXO Cathie
